First time for Concordia teams at CIS Cross Country Championship
Concordia University sent full teams to the CIS cross country championships for the first time ever this weekend. The women were 15th and the men 16th in their first national championship. The best Stinger performance of the weekend was Johanna Winters' 34th place finish. Winters out-kicked two rivals from McGill to be the third finisher from the Quebec conference, her best ranking of the year. The men's team also had their best races of the year to close out the season. Simon Malik-Giroux and Kyle Verboomen lead the team in 110th and 112th place, and also improved their ranking among Quebec runners. -
