FRED FOOT COACH OF THE YEAR

Dave Scott-Thomas, Guelph


Fred Foot was one of Canada’s top coaches over the past 60 years. During his tenure as a coach, Foot was named the CIAU men’s coach of the year 7 times, all with the University of Toronto. Foot was an active coach right up to his death in 2002, when he was working for York University.

The Coach of the Year is selected by the CIS Coaches’ Association. The announcement and presentation is made at the time of the CIS Championship.

Rookie of the Year

Initiated in 1997, the Rookie of the Year Award is selected by the CIS Coaches Association. The award is based upon performances during the entire season as well as at the Conference and National Championships. The athlete must be in her first year of intercollegiate eligibility.
